Intro - Tests - De-Fishing - Conclusion

There aren't many choices for Canon EOS users who want a fisheye or super-wide angle lens, particularly if you've got a digital with the 1.6 crop factor.
Sigma do a 8mm full-frame fisheye for about $600 - this may be a bit better than the Peleng, but it's more than twice the price.
There are also lot's of "adaptors" like this gadget available on EBay...
You can guess what kind of quality a plastic lens like this is going to give you. Personally I'd be reluctant to screw this on the end of the kit lens.
NK Guy has done a great review of one of these things here: http://photonotes.org/reviews/fisheye-adapter/
Another popular Russian made lens is the Zenitar 16mm f2.8, although on the APS size cameras
this is more like a wide-angle - in fact not much wider than the Kit 18-55mm lens.
For about $250 / £125, the Peleng doesn't have much competition, and produces pretty good results.
If you want one, EBay is one of the few options available. One thing I have noticed, you don't see anyone selling a used Peleng. Presumably, when people buy them, they keep them.
I know I'm keeping mine!
